Deckbox and Painting

Share it Please

Howdy do, dear readers! :D

Yep, I am still around XD.

Lately I have been busy doing several things, including painting, playing MTG (yay!), trying to learn a new song on the piano, studying chemistry and astronomy, trying to get decent sleep (not doing so good there)...

I wanted to mention to any of you who collect and/or play Magic that there is a pretty awesome site called Deckbox, where you can make an inventory of your cards, make a deck list, make a wish list, and have a trade list to trade cards with people either locally, nationally, or internationally.

It is pretty darn awesome, and a fantastic tool for keeping tabs on what exactly you have (right down to the edition and quality of the card!).

I have literally spent over 20 hours on there entering cards (14 000 + of those are from my Dad's collection!).  I find that this can be a bit soothing, as it helps keep me concentrating on something other than a lot of things that give me anxiety.

I've also been having another existential crisis, which sucks, but I guess that it is a fact of life for me.

Here is an acrylic painting that I haven't worked on in a while but need to finish:

Euugh I need to find a way to take photos without the flash reflecting like that.  And sorry about cutting off part of the last photo.

I hope that you are doing well!!

  4. That sounds like a very cool site! I too find doing repetitive, methodical tasks like that to be a fantastic way to combat stress, anxiety, and worry (it's actually a big part of the reason I adore Pinterest so much).

*PS* Thank you very much for your famously nice comment on this week's vintage outfit post (I flat out adore that 40s coat, too). ♥
